Thane is the Savannah Conclave's driver, and the first Mythical Gideon meets when he steps off the plane. On the surface he is a perfectly polished chauffeur: immaculate dark suit, cap held in both hands, a low courteous rumble of a voice, and an answer for every question about the city's history. Under the glamour he is a minotaur, and his aura hits Gideon like a sledgehammer, hot and dense and animal, hay and turned soil and the kind of strength that could break a man in half without trying. He has a chipped right horn and scarred knuckles, and he is very proud of the building he works for.
He is the one who explains the seven-layer glamour around the Conclave, the one who notices when the turn-back wards don't work on Gideon, and the one who hands him a business card and says to call if he needs a ride. Later, when the team needs someone to walk through a door first, Thane takes off his cap, steps into the middle of a parking lot, and stops pretending to be a man.
