Synopsis

When a series of bizarre, unsolved murders threatens to expose the Mythicals living quietly in the quaint Cascadian town of Murias, Marcella—head of the Fae Conclave—dispatches Sophie and her fox shifter boyfriend Mac to find the killer. The timing is critical: Murias’s Hunter’s Moon Festival, Cascadia’s largest Mythical event, is less than a week away. It also doesn’t hurt that leaving San Francisco gets Sophie away from a wolf shifter pack out for blood after the death of their alpha.

There’s just one complication. Well, several. The Conclave wants Sophie to work closely with her newly discovered twin sister Ruby. Ruby has her own supernatural abilities, but she’s also everything Sophie is not: bubbly, cheerful, and a “reformed” serial killer.

At least Sophie gets to meet Mac’s family and maybe even enjoy the festival—if she can solve the murders first. But as always with Sophie, things in Murias start to get very, very odd.

"It just keeps getting better! I love this character. Sophie has to be one of my favorite snarky heroines. She's adorable and so smart and gifted, it's easy to she why Mac loves her so. The world building is very skilled and so imaginative. Sophie and Mac have to visit a festival in a nearby magical place and try to solve the latest crisis. I can't stress enough how much you will enjoy the story. Whether you have read the first two or not you will still fall in love with our Mac. He's the best kind of man for Sophie and we learn more about him and his background in this festival. Sophie has a twin sister that is gifted as well and we find out more about this strange situation. Y'all there is alot of wonderful creatures and magical beings and of course lots of romance. Please give this a try. This author is really amazing and she keeps it so interesting. This book has everything you want. Sci-fi romance and new ideas are hard to come by and I know others will love it as well. Sophie is a real superhero to me!!!"

"This is a really fun series with a fabulous heroine, interesting intrigue, a great love interest, and lots of sound family. I adore that Sophie's best friend is an old lady! The audiobook narrator does a great job of not getting in the way. I just enjoy it and have a great time! Two books to go before I can tell you if it's worth reading the series. There is some overarching mystery that gets more revealed each time but also gets a little bit more mysterious each time."
